Eduardo was very helpful and arrived well before the agreed time. I had to move a vans worth of stuff including expensive and fragile music equipment which was wrapped and packed into the van incredibly neatly and professally. I have had experience with several removal companies in the past before but Van on the Move were by far the most reliable and at a very competitive price. Our biggest van is a 3.5-tonne Luton with a tail lift. For a three-bedroom flat or house you will usually need two Lutons and around four people.
Is there a minimum booking?
Yes, 2 hours. After that you pay for the time the job takes. Up to 5 minutes over is free, 5 to 15 minutes is charged as half an hour, and more than 15 minutes as an hour.
How do I secure a date?
With a deposit covering one hour of work plus any long-distance fee. It is non-refundable, but you can reschedule free with 48 hours’ notice. With less than 24 hours’ notice a 50% fee applies.
Are my belongings insured?
Yes. Moves are covered by goods-in-transit insurance. If a claim is made, the customer pays a £250 excess.
Do I need to arrange parking?
Yes. Please reserve the nearest space you can at both addresses. Parking fines received during the move are payable by the customer.
